Steampunk Role Play:

This is an extension of my former contest which was supposed to end on December the 8th. However, I received such slim pickins that I decided to extend.
I wrote a story in the Steampunk vein and I want to see it made into visual art. This contest is sort of an audition but with prizes at the end if you win.
To Win:Turn this short story
[link] into a work of sequential art. Sequential means that you interpret the story in a series of images, one after another, that tells the story visually. This can be comic panels (most likely), or something more free form like a photographic series. It could also be animation or cinematography.
Character Reference: [link] Your imagination will have to suffice for the other five characters.
Rules:1. You may use ANY medium you like aside from literature.
2. Keep it Steampunk.
3. Yes, you may collaborate with other artist. However, Im not going to give all five people who helped you a yearlong subscription. I wish I could, but I cant.
4. Failing to finish your entry will not disqualify you. But, it wont help you win either.
5. More than one submission per person is fine.
To Enter:1. Please post your work in your gallery (obviously) with a link back to the original short story in the artist comments.
2. Please send a note to me with a link or thumbnail of your work.
3. Please exert some patience.
Prizes:1. A six month feature in my journal.
2. A yearlong subscription to DA.
3. A three month subscription from *
Audley4. An item from the winners wish-list.
5. A six month journal feature from *

Aslo, if you want to participate in the contest but you don't do visual art, you could always donate a prize to the prize pool above. That would really help me out and draw in participants. Thank you.
____________
One last thing: Depending on the strength of the entry and my desire to continue a new storyline, there may be a regular PAYING gig in this for you. This is entirely dependent on how often I write new material for the story and on how much youre expecting and/or willing to be paid. In other words: Im not promising anything spectacular and it would be non-contractual, but I would be happy to pay you for your work.

But, now I suppose I will try. If I make collages, will those suffice?
